1.Product Introduction of the XLM silane series(Dry silane for XLPE CABLE, PEX-b PIPE)

Dry-silane masterbatches are delivered in the form of solid free flowing pellets.

The dry-silane masterbatches are available with different silane loadings (concentrations).

Depending on the different carrier resins and formula, the silane loading can be in the range of 40% up to 70%.

2.Application of the XLM silane series(Dry silane for XLPE CABLE, PEX-b PIPE):

It is mainly used for crosslinking of low- and medium-voltage power cables and PEX-b pipes. The Dry-Silane process offers significant advantages compared to the other crosslinking methods for low voltage cables.

The Dry-Silane Technology can be considered as state of the art for this specific cable types in the meantime.

Cable manufacturers can utilize their well established Monosil or even normal Sioplas extruder to use dry silane.

3.Packing Details of the XLM silane series(Dry silane for XLPE CABLE, PEX-b PIPE)

The regular packing of  XLM silane series(Dry silane for XLPE CABLE, PEX-b PIPE)

is 20 kg aluminum foil bag and 200 liters steel drum. Other custom-tailor packing is possible on special request..

4.Storage and Shelf Life of XLM silane series(Dry silane for XLPE CABLE, PEX-b PIPE):

Should be stored in dry, cool, ventilated room; keep away from water, moisture, high temperature and fire. This product has a shelf life of at least 6 months if stored in tightly closed original container at room temperature.  

If this product is kept beyond the shelf life recommend on the product label, it is not necessarily unusable, but a quality control should be performed on the properties relevant to the application.
