Acid or Alkali can accelerate the hydrolysis of silane obviously, so the pH of non-amino silane hydrolysis should be adjusted to 3 -5. And the solution of amino silane already has strong alkalinity, so the hydrolysis of most amino silane directly use neutral water on the line.
