It contains phenyl and amino functionalities in the same molecule. It is an extremely effective adhesive promoter for many filled and reinforced resin system.

It is a versatile adhesion promoter, particularly for resin systems that will react with a secondary amino group, such as isocyanates, acrylates, expoxies, phenolics and RTV silicones. With its functional phenyl group this silane is especially useful when the resin base composites material must withstand higher temperatures; e.g., in phenolic resin/fiberglass composites.
